New Holland Equipment has partnered with Growth Energy, a lobbying group supporting ethanol production. As part of this relationship New Holland is offering significant discounts on new equipment to individuals supporting ethanol production.
Of the roughly 200 plants across the nation, only about 80 are members of Growth Energy,including POET-LEIPSIC.
Significant equipment discounts (up to 30%)are available if you meet just ONE of the following qualifications:
1) sold 50,000 or more bushels last year to a participating plant, 2) currently hold a 10,000 bushel contract, 3) buy 280 tons of Dakota Gold feed per year, 4) plant stockholder, or 5) plant employee.

As the 2014-15 crop marketing year draws to a close, let's look at how basis fared in the past 12 months. In general, at the end of August 2015, corn, soybean and wheat basis is about 30 to 40 cents weaker than the 5-year averages for each crop.
